The INVEST CLEAN Public Benefits Program aims to ensure that transition to zero-emission freight technologies deliver meaningful benefits to communities most impacted by goods movement and logistics.

Guidance on Community Air Quality Priorities for Zero-Emission Projects

  • Best practices to design and implement zero-emission freight projects with sensitivity to community

Outreach and Engagement

  • Ensure two-way communication flow is established with communities on air quality, public health benefits of zero-emissions freight, workforce training and job opportunities

Recommendations on Community Centered Projects

  • Guidance to inform South AQMD efforts to implement projects that will reduce localized air pollution and improve quality of life

Public Benefits Steering Committee

Committee Goals

The Public Benefits Steering Committee provides advisory guidance to support the implementation of the INVEST CLEAN project while elevating community priorities that help amplify emission reductions and improve quality of life through better public health outcomes, and access to workforce training and jobs.
