In July 2024, U.S. EPA awarded South Coast AQMD a Climate Pollution Reduction Grant of nearly $500 million for the INVEST CLEAN project.

INVEST CLEAN will see community benefits through emission reductions, and workforce training. Through a Community Benefits Plan, a Steering Committee will conduct outreach and education on climate, air quality, Zero Emission technology, and workforce.
