INVEST CLEAN aims to modernize the Southern California goods movement and logistics corridor by transitioning to zero-emission technologies. The project spans from the San Pedro Bay Ports through Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, to the California, Arizona and Nevada borders.
Funding available to replace Class 4 and 5 diesel goods movement trucks with battery-electric alternatives. A minimum of 5,000 miles of operation per year is required.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted online no later than January 30, 2026.
Funding available for the installation of new DC Fast Chargers for Class 4 – 8 vehicles only. Each charging location can receive up to $700 per kilowatt (kW) installed charging capacity.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted online no later than 12:00 PM/PT on December 16, 2025.

Deadline: Applications must be submitted online no later than 12:00 PM/PST on December 16, 2025.
Scrap-and-replace program to replace diesel-fueled switcher locomotives with battery-electric alternatives. Charging infrastructure is also eligible for funding. Up to 5 years of delayed scrappage allowed.
Deadline: Proposals must be submitted via paper to South Coast AQMD no later than 12:00 PM/PT on December 16, 2025.
